LORIANN

Assistant Director of Studies

LoriannHi! I’m Loriann!

I’ve been working as a teacher at Lanto Education since 2006. Over this 11-year period I’ve been continuously improving my qualification. In 2011 I successfully completed a Cambridge CELTA course. In 2015 I started a 2-year marathon to pass DELTA.

Now I’m a holder of all three DELTA Modules which has completely changed my views about teaching English as a second language. Thus means learning to teach at international standards which breaks traditional grammar-driven curriculum which many teachers rely on in a non- English speaking environment.

I believe teaching is an art which has to be learnt and developed over many years!

MATT — Teacher.
Hi, my name is Matt.
My career, as an English language teacher, began in 2014 when I acquired a Master’s degree. This job made me realize rather quickly that being a teacher is not a game but a hard work; however, it also brought me understanding that I intend to spend quite some time on it. So, later I received the CELTA qualification but I have no intention of settling down.
In my opinion, Lanto Education is different to other language schools because here everyone is interested in you growing as a teacher until you reach the top. Needless to say, the atmosphere at school is very amicable.

RIKO — Teacher
Hello!
My name is Riko.
As I remember, I was interested in English as a child: I studied it at school, at college and then at the university — no wonder, like anyone else. But I could not even imagine that I would teach people this noble and aristocratic language. Life is unpredictable and therein its beauty.
My first step I took as a university student — taught English to my acquaintances and friends, when finally I realized that it was worthwhile to take up this hard task seriously.
Upon graduation, I worked in such universities as Kazakh Ablaikhan University of International Relations and World Languages, Kazakh American University and Almaty Management University as a teacher of political sciences in Russian, Kazakh and English languages.
Having gained an excellent practical experience, I decided to try myself in teaching English, working in several successful language centres of our apple city of Almaty.
